The biggest problem that I have encountered has been working with 32bit ODBC drivers. ODBC has separate mechanisms for both platforms and configurations are completely independent of each other. Most problems are solved by running the 32bit alternative process (like the DTExec for the SSIS packages). However there are some more persistent problems when working with .NET assemblies/applications that access the ODBC drivers. They seem to have some problems running in 32bit mode, even when they are compiled for 32bit platform ONLY. Have you had any experience with things like this?
The odbc driver problem is the other issue i became aware of when i asked a couple of DBA's about their 64 bit experiences. Unfortunately i don't have any detailed information on it which is why i did not mention it in the blog.
As such i've not had experience of it (yet...) but i will be looking for it.
Perhaps someone else will be able to share experience?
If nobody else pitches and i manage to get some more detailed info i'll put up a post.
