History:
Since there is X + Y in my chromosome, I don't have the burden to hide/lie about my age. Here it is: I was born in the year Altair 8800 microcomputer was released and of cause, the Micro-soft year zero.
What a coincident! MS spent 30 years to build SQL Server 2005; I spent 30 years eating and sleeping; finally THE I can blog about IT. What can be more exciting!
Dared not to compare with you guys about how earlier you were lost in the computing mud, because modern day computer WAS NOT invented in China. The best thing I can do, is to catch up with a 2 to 3 years delay. That's YOUR fault, or your government, or, the COLD WAR?
Frankly, I never saw an Altair in my life, only good old Z80, after that, the list goes on.
Now:
I have been working as a RA/Programmer in Oxford University for the past 6 years, programming in pure MS products. My current interest is to use the next gen MS dev tools to develop high performance vldb and analysis packages for Human Genetics research. I'll be blogging not only SQL server, but also hardware/storage/etc., and maybe a little bit science. Enjoy!
