As you know we have the regional User Group meetings and other SQL conferences like SQLBits www.sqlbits.com , as well as the occasional social events that happen from time-time. See some listing of upcoming events @ http://sqlserverfaq.com/

What do these have in common? Well generally they are mostly scheduled during the working week Monday-Friday (Sometimes on a Saturday) and for obvious reasons, however with our busy life’s it is sometimes difficulty or not viable for us to attend those events and we miss out on those opportunities, I have therefore decided to try out a new approach which for now I'll name as "Sunday SQL Lunch", this will be as the name implies a meeting where we can meet over some Sunday Lunch @ a pub or other venue and then also take the time following to discuss the topics of the day or ask questions to our peers on SQL topics – hoping to make these regular events up & done the length of the UK.

As the Excellent SQL PASS Summit 2010 was just held this week and with many cool and exciting SQL Denali announcements, of which I will probably be doing a round-up of those I have managed to absorb so far, I thought then it a good time to attempt my 1st event this coming weekend in London a Pub called "Doggets" (London nr Blackfriars bridge) http://www.doggettscoatandbadge.co.uk/ I'm planning to be there from 12:30 and will be around for the afternoon to talk SQL Shop this coming Sunday 14th November 2010 - More details can be found @ our LinkedIn Group page http://www.linkedin.com/groupItem?view=&gid=2904068&type=member&item=34861159&goback=%2Egmp_2904068

Even if you don’t want to join the Lunch aspect, but just attend following that is fine as well, expect we will be having drinks and SQL discussions from sometime after 2PM following our lunch
