SQL Server 2008 Spatial - Got a question?

I’ve got a quick question for you.  My employer has yet to give us the go ahead for an upgrade from SQL 2005 to 2008 but it is eventually going to happen.  My question to you is when it finally does, where will we see the biggest improvements at?  Right now we find 2005 very useful for http://www.stratavia.com/datacenterprovisioning.php  and even patching but we are hoping that 2008 brings with it some tools that will allow us to free up even more resources and allow the network to run more efficiently.
