SDS Architecture in the cloud

I as having a discussion with a colleague today about latencies with SDS. I was commenting that MS data centers are generally connected to extremely large bandwidth and so latency might be better than connecting to a two bit Colocation service. His question then went on to the azzure service I wasn't sure what the connection story would be.

Well thanks to Jason Massie for pointing me at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd557595.aspx which suggests that Azzure to SDS connectivity will be a very good story.

"The Azure hosting services complement SDS allowing applications to be hosted close to the database where the application data is stored thereby reducing the overall cost of communicating with the service while at the same time providing lower operational expenses."
