SQL Server 2008 SP1 is released
There goes my bet with Ellie; anyway - SQL Server 2008 SP1 has been release. Worth applying? Honestly, I don't know - to my clients I recommend give it a couple of weeks to see what (based on experience from other service packs - and most of them!) has broke but I will be installing it on my own systems this weekend after some regression testing.
Greenfield developments/new migrations (as ever do a side by side migration with regression testing) - start on SQL Server 2008 SP1.
Thankfully (and it should of been and has been) the critical bug we found with OPTION ( RECOMPILE ) giving back inconsistent results has been fixed.
