Job Schedules in SQL Server 2005

For years now one aspect of SQL Server has bugged the hell out of me, but as time goes on some things you just accept.

Job Schedules, I have never understood why you have to create a new schedule for every job you create.

Well I was pleasently suprised when looking up the syntax for sp_add_jobschedule to find this statement.

"sp_add_jobschedule is provided for backward compatibility only"

Job schedules are now managed globally using sp_add_schedule and then assigned to a job with sp_attach_schedule.

This is just one more of those little features that has been added to SQL Server 2005 that makes life that much easier.
