Does Report builder 2.0 run against Reporting Services 2008 R2

The simple answer is it should do, sort of.

If you are only using Report Builder 2.0 then all should be fine. If some reports are being developed in Report Builder 3.0 or BIDS 2008 R2 then you’ll have problems, i.e. the report won’t work.

Having said that the first time I tried to connect to my local report server (2008 R2) from Report Builder 2.0 it crashed. Not sure if this was due to the time it takes from SSRS to load on the server I don’t know. Subsequent times it worked.

There is also a thread on the MSDN forums http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlreportingservices/thread/58b28b75-50c0-44a4-8a40-87932af52bdc that has two responses to the same effect from Microsoft people.
